I really hope you consider this thoroughly before ever considering that the legalization of Marijuana, even for medicinal purposes, is a good idea.  I'm a veteran and have lived in many different states some of which allowed medical marijuana and I can guarantee you that this would be a horrendous mistake.  Your intentions may be good by trying to legalize marijuana for this purpose but once it happens, it cannot be contained.  I've personally seen medical marijuana being sold by the "patients".  Also, as the protests recently in Wisconsin have shown, not all doctors are ethical and not all of them can be trusted.  Most doctors are truly professional and prescribe only for the well being of their patients but not all.  Even if just 1% of the doctors are willing to falsify prescriptions, that is too much.  Then there's also the people who would distribute the Marijuana....... How can they be trusted with what is to this day an illegal substance?  I'm not going to get into whether or not marijauna SHOULD be legal, the fact is that at the moment it is not.  Allowing medical marijuana is just another gateway that allows it to get into the wrong hands.  Please vote NO.
