You know when you've had enough! You keep getting exposed to the same situation, different faces, different stories and yet they are really truly the same.
I have reached that point. I am really fed up with uncovering the truth of criminal behavior (backed by proof), that is blatently disregarded and being told by agencies in charge....it is too "insignificant" to do anything. When the real story is "We are not wiling to expose these crimes because we could lose some of our funding for the next year" What's worse is when you start to talk about it publically...you are deluged with stories from complete strangers that all speak of the same thing.
My husband and I have uncovered the facts and proof of a woman that has been living on the Idaho welfare system for about 8 years. She has been a student the entire time pursing a degree in (of all things...)Criminal Justice. She will state today that she still has one year to complete her 4 year degree that she has been pursuing for 8 years. She had 3 children, has remain mostly unemployed (has never worked more than 4 weeks in a year) and when child support was reduced, suddenly was "raped" and had a 4th child. Fortunately for her she discovered her "attacker" and is now receiving child support from him.
This same person receives over $70,000 a year (proven) via different agencies and relatives that do not know about each other. She has 6 documented bank accounts with only 2 accounts being allowed to be seen by certain agencies. She has 3 cell phones, several lap tops, high end furniture, drives a new SUV, lives in a new subdivision and hasn't worked in 8 years. She receives Food stamps, medicaid, SSI payments for a child that has been discovered to not be Autistic after all, Vocational Rehab money of up to $20,000 for the year, child support from several men, school loans and grants, and all the churches in the area that can give her assistance for utilities etc.. She has a garage and a storage unit hiding all the items she owns and can't fit into her 3 bedroom house. She recently entered into a fake marraige to help her in court but her husband created a Myspace page 3 weeks after they were married and states he is Single. Her new husband also has a separte residence in Spokane, Washington. By the way..her husband is also studying Criminal Justice.
This same person has committed fraud with Social Security for SSI payments, fraud with the IRS for over 5 years (her family helps), fraud with the Idaho State Tax Commission for over 5 years (her family helps), credit card fraud 3 times (covered up by her parents) and forgery.
When agencies are contacted to show proof of being "ripped off" by this woman we are told the following literally:
1. It was in the past (this entire past year of 2009) and doesn't matter
2. It doesn't matter now because no one looks at a person's Assets anymore
3. The only thing that might matter about all her bank accounts is the one that is a joint account with her Father. It doesn't matter about 3 other unreported accounts.
4. We won't press criminal charges because she was only guilty of under $1000 and she paid it off in full. We simply suspended her.
5. We will look into it and see if there is anything we can do. (Nothing happens)
These are examples of what we have been told by your local agencies, counseling services etc.. that give her your taxpayer money. There are more examples.
By the way...the woman was removed PERMANENTLY from Idaho Housing Rental Assistance due to Fraud and Unreported Income. They only looked at what she did in one quarter. She was fraudulent with them the entire time but they do not want to look into it further or press criminal charges because of the work involved. They are simply happy that she is removed from Assistance.
The problem with all of this....A Serial Criminal is allowed to continue to commit crime and she has a clean criminal record. No charges ever. If an agency decides to do something...she gets a slap on the wrist and warning.
By the way...this doesn't even include the problems with the counseling service organizations and child support agencies.
WE have since met other people that share the same story about other women on the system.
