    budget cuts

I'd really like to know if our Lawmakers are taking the same paycut that they are throwing on the backs of our teachers?

They are not... As a matter of fact - under the Consititution of the State, many elected offficials are required to recceive an INCREASE in pay, such as the Governor, AG, and THE SUPERINTENDENT OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION!  They are claiming that they are giving the increase to charities, but they get a tax credit for doing that...

Thats a shame.  I sent a note to Janice McGeachin (my rep) and she said they took a bit of a cut.  I asked her to show me the legislation that they passed because I know they're pay is by law, and she hasn't responded yet.  What a crock!  They say lets cut teachers saleries but give us a raise.  Its shameful!

They have forgotten the meaning of 'public servant'. There should be an across the board cut in pay.

I would also agree with a constitutional amendement reversing mandatory pay raises if that truly is the case.  I also do not support the idea that legislators can vote themselves a pay raise.  That should be reversed, as well, but I digress.

Anyone know how we can fix these problems?

The first place to start is by voting for individuals who believe what the Founders did and are inclined to return our state government back to that model.
